We talked about my concern with the holding company being the owner of the architecture firm: I was thinking that if the architecture firm gets sued then since 100% of the architecture firm's shares are owned by the holding company then the wealth in the holding company is potentially exposed. After talking around for a while Matt explained that it wouldn't make a difference because the holding company is just a shareholder and not responsible; the architect is responsible. That said, I am still exposed because I own the holding company and the wealth is therefore mine and it would be on the table if I was personally sued.
